No
tile gap
Our fireplace surrounds are designed to fit flush against a
wall. Where you're adding tile or marble around the firebox
you could have a mason cut the tile or marble to fit the space
between the outside of the firebox and the inside of the surround
legs. This may become a bit of a challenge if you're looking
at a surround with an arched faceplate. Your mason can cut the
stone to fit but we have a better idea.

Tile
gap
A more flexible approach to accommodate the legs sitting flush
against both the tile and the wall—is to have us cut a
tile gap. Let us know the depth of your tile (how far it protrudes
from the wall) and we can cut an equal amount from the inside
of the legs and the back of the upper faceplate area. We do
standard cuts of 1/2", 3/4" and 1".
